INGREDIENTS
- powdered sugar – 1/4 cup
- salted butter – 1/4 cup
- vanilla essence – 1/2 tsp
- refined flour (maida) – 3/4 cup
- baking powder – 1/2 tsp
- choco chips – 1/4 cup
- milk – 1 tbsp
INSTRUCTIONS
- Take a large bowl and add powdered sugar and butter to it.
- Whisk well till butter changes its color to pale yellow and becomes airy.
- Then add vanilla essence to it.
- Mix well.
- Now, add refined flour and baking powder to it.
- Again, give it a good mix.
- When the mixture is mixed well add choco chips to it.
- Again, mix it well.
- Finally add milk to the mixture.
- Gently knead the dough using hands.
- Dough should be crumbly.
- Keep the dough aside for 10-15 minutes.
- After 15 minutes line a braking tray with butter paper.
- Take 1 tbsp dough and roll into a ball.
- Similarly, make balls of whole dough.
- Arrange them evenly on baking tray leaving 2 inch spaces on each side (since cookies expand on baking).
- Press them a little to flatten them and sprinkle some more choco chips over it.
- Bake the cookies in preheated oven at 160° C for 15-20 minutes.
- After 20 minutes, remove cookies from oven and cool them on a cooking rack.
- Serve them with your favorite tea or coffee.
NOTES
- Quantity of ingredients can be altered accordingly.
- You can make dough in abundance and store it in refrigerator for a week. Make fresh cookies every time.
- If you want your cookies to be white in color rather than brown, add choco chips in the last.
